Denia is preparing for the sixth edition of the D*na Festival to be held on 30 September and 1 October 2023. The festival was inaugurated in 2017, driven by the initiative of Quique Dacosta who is always recognised in the prestigious culinary rankings as one of the top ten restaurants in the world. His restaurant Quique Dacosta Denia was awarded its third Michelin star in the 2012-1013 edition.
Denia is all about the good life
The cuisine and local produce with which the region is richly blessed have always been the most important ingredients when coming together to celebrate an event or simply to toast to Mediterranean life. So it is no coincidence that Denia in 2015 was awarded the title of Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO.
Creativity can also be found in the wine-growing sector with its young entrepreneurs such as Mara Bañó of the Bodega de Les Freses, Jesús Pobre. Her wines have already won awards and she offers guided tours of the bodega where you can taste her wines.
6th D*na Festival Denia
Once again this year, the D*na Festival will feature producers and restaurateurs from the region who, through their exhibition and sales stalls, will offer visitors the most representative gastronomic products of the Valencia Region.
There will be a multitude of workshops, culinary demonstrations and debates on gastronomy by some of the best chefs in the country, including Denia’s most popular chef, Quique Dacosta. And there are sure to be other stars sharing the stage whose names are still a secret.
Location
The Paseo de la Marineta Cassiana in Denia is the ideal setting for this event. Strolling around the different stands and tasting their culinary surprises always accompanied by the sea and its sound is a real pleasure for all senses.
