The Vuelta de España 2023 visits Denia. It is the last of the big ones, after the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France. All the big teams will be participating and stars like Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard.
The Vuelta starts on 26/7 and finishes on 17/9/23 and it is on Saturday 2 September that the eighth stage begins in Denia. It will be one of the seven mountain stages finishing in Xorret de Catí. After the start in Denia, they will continue to Els Poblets and then enter the mountains via Pego climbing up to Vall d’Ebo.
The start in Denia will be spectacular, as the cyclists will ride a circuit around the city showing some of Denia’s most emblematic sights.
At 12:55 h the start will be from the port at Baix La Mar de Dénia with the following route: Marqués de Campo, which they will ride completely, going down Calle Diana and returning to the coast via Patricio Ferrándiz. From there, through Castell d’Olimbroi to Joan Fuster, Joan Chabás, Plaza París, Avenida Montgó and Alacant. Almost out of Denia, they will return inland via Abu Zeyan, Avenida Castelló Alcoi, Ronda de Muralles, Doctor Fleming, Plaza Benidorm and leave the town centre via Las Marinas to continue to Els Poblets.
It should be noted that few neighbourhoods will remain open to traffic that day, at least from 12:55 h.
The Vuelta has returned to the Valencian Community and Denia! The stage runs through one of the most beautiful areas of the region with beach and sea. If you are interested in our property offer in this area, take a look here.
